Pistons seeking sixth straight win

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The Detroit Pistons are on a roll and face the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

The Pistons have won seven of their last eight games and five straight, including a 94-82 home victory over Houston. Richard Hamilton scored 17 points, while Antonio McDyess and Rasheed Wallace added double-doubles for Detroit.

McDyess finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds - his fifth straight game with at least 10 rebounds - and Wallace had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Maxiell scored 14 points off the bench for Detroit, which joined Boston as the only teams in the league with 20 victories.

The Nets have won their last two games, including a 100-95 victory over Golden State on Saturday. Richard Jefferson scored 31 points and Jason Kidd collected his 94th career triple-double for New Jersey. Vince Carter scored 23 points, while Josh Boone finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Nets.

The teams have played once this season with Detroit winning at home, 118-95, on December 2.
