Boylan-led Bulls to host Bucks

Dec 28, 2007 - 3:24 PM Milwaukee (11-16) at Chicago (9-17) 8:30 pm EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) - Scott Skiles got 25 games to prove himself as a coach this season. Pete Myers got just one. Jim Boylan will get at least 56.

The Chicago Bulls will playing under their third coach of the young season when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Boylan was named interim coach on Thursday, three days after Skiles was fired due to the Bulls' disappointing start, and one day after Myers directed a 94-79 loss at San Antonio.

Chicago general manager John Paxson appointed Boylan with the interim tag for the remainder of the season, and will keep the rest of Skiles' former coaching staff intact as well. Boylan has been an assistant coach in the NBA for the past 14 seasons.

Chicago ranks last in the NBA in scoring at 91.5 points per game and last in team field goal percentage at 41.3 percent. Normally a stout defensive team, the Bulls have taken a step back on that end as well, allowing 100 points 10 times already this season.

The Bucks will be looking to take advantage of the turmoil with their second win over Chicago this season. Milwaukee earned an ugly 78-72 win over the Bulls on November 3, with Michael Redd pouring in 27 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists.

Some what of a disappointment this season as well, the Bucks have lost 12 of their last 16 games, including seven straight away from home.
