Iguodala, Sixers aim for rare win in Sacramento

Dec 28, 2007 - 3:52 PM Philadelphia (12-16) at Sacramento (11-16) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers have enjoyed some recent success on the road. They hope it continues when visit the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

Iguodala hit a game-winner at the buzzer to help Philadelphia to a 99-97 win over Memphis last Friday, and then scored a season-high 28 points in a 96-85 over Miami on Wednesday.

The fourth-year swingman has reached the 20-point plateau in four of his last five games, and the Sixers hope his recent hot streak can help them pick up a rare win at Arco Arena.

Philadelphia, which has won four of six away from home, has lost 15 of 17 here since the start of the 1989-90 season.

The Sixers have won seven of their last 10 and face a Sacramento team that will try and rebound from a 89-69 loss to Boston on Wednesday.

Sacramento has been hit hard by the injury bug. It currently is without point guard Mike Bibby (thumb) and leading scorer Kevin Martin (groin). John Salmons has picked up the slack, averaging a career-best 15.7 points and 4.7 rebounds.
