Suns visit Kings looking to continue winning ways

Dec 30, 2007 - 2:15 PM Phoenix (21-9) at Sacramento (11-17) 9:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns look to continue their winning ways on Sunday when they visit the Sacramento Kings.

The Suns have won four of their last six games - including both games of a home-and-home series with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday and Friday.

Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds on Thursday en route to a 20-point drubbing in Los Angeles. Phoenix returned home on Friday and used a franchise record-tying 16 blocks to claim a 94-88 victory over the Clippers.

Stoudemire logged his second consecutive double-double and third in four games on Friday, scoring 28 points with 10 rebounds. The Kings look to end their four-game homestand on a high note against the Suns after dropping the first three contests by an average of 11.0 points.

John Salmons scored 22 points, but it wasn't enough as the Kings fell, 92-80, to the Philadelphia 76ers for their the fourth loss in six games.

Ron Artest, who is second on the team with 19.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, was a late scratch against the 76ers, missing the game with bone chips in his right elbow.

Artest was the latest Sacramento player to miss a game due to injury, joining teammates Kevin Martin (groin) and Mike Bibby (hand) on the sidelines.
