Warriors bring high-scoring attack to Houston
Dec 31, 2007 - 11:25 AM Golden State (18-13) at Houston (15-15) 7:00 pm ESTHOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors excel at running other teams off the floor. The Houston Rockets are set to stop them.
The Warriors will look to put back-to-back wins together when they visit the Rockets on Monday.
Golden State defeated Denver, 105-95, on Sunday night behind 28 points from Baron Davis and a 23-point effort form captain Stephen Jackson. Davis and Jackson key a high-powered attack that ranks second in the NBA in scoring offense at 108.5 points per game.
The Rockets plan to once again be without superstar Tracy McGrady, who has been nursing a sore left knee for the past week.
Without their All-Star guard, the Rockets will rely on center Yao Ming, who has keyed a recent two-game winning streak by totaling 47 points without McGrady on the floor.
Golden State beat Houston on November 29, 113-94. Davis led the Warriors with 27 points and eight assists in the contest.
