76ers continue road trip at SuperSonics
Dec 31, 2007 - 11:37 AM Philadelphia (13-17) at Seattle (9-21) 10:00 pm ESTSEATTLE (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers continue their season-long six-game road trip when they visit the Seattle SuperSonics on Monday.
Philadelphia is coming off a 97-72 defeat against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. The Sixers were outscored, 35-9, in the fourth quarter en route to having a three-game winning streak stopped.
The Sixers, playing the third game of their road trip, are led by Andre Iguodala, who is scoring 22.2 points over his last five games.
The Sonics are coming off a 109-90 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, but played the entire second half without star rookie Kevin Durant.
The No. 2 overall pick left before halftime with a sprained finger and is listed as questionable for Monday's contest.
Fellow rookie Jeff Green stepped up in his first start, scoring 18 points in a season-high 36 minutes.
This is the first meeting between the two teams this season. Philadelphia swept the two-game series last season.
