Knicks look to end latest losing streak

Jan 2, 2008 - 2:00 PM Sacramento (11-18) at New York (8-21) 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks look to end their latest losing streak Wednesday when they face the Sacramento Kings.

New York enters this contest in the midst of a four-game losing streak. It marks their skid of at least four games this season.

On Sunday, the Knicks endured their latest embarrassment with a 100-83 loss here to the Chicago Bulls. New York has lost by at least 10 points a league-leading 14 times.

New York played without leading scorer Jamal Crawford, who bruised his right hand in practice on Friday. Fellow starting guard Stephon Marbury was back with the team, but not in uniform. Marbury has missed 10 of the Knicks' last 13 games following the death of his father on December 2.

The Kings also are on a four-game losing streak, dropping all four contests at home. Sacramento, which is 3-10 on the road, has lost its last three games by an average of 15.7 points.

On November 16, Kevin Martin scored a career-high 43 points to lead the Kings to a 123-118 overtime win over the Knicks.
