Pistons seek 10th straight win
Jan 2, 2008 - 2:08 PM Detroit (24-7)at Washington (15-14) 7:00 pm ESTWASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Richard Hamilton and the Pistons aim for their 10th straight win when they face the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
Hamilton scored 22 points as the Pistons rolled to a 114-69 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. It was the Pistons' largest margin of victory since they beat the Boston Celtics by 52 points on January 31, 2003.
Detroit is on its longest winning streak since reeling off 11 straight victories from January 10-29, 2006.
The Pistons, who are outscoring their opponents by an average of 17.2 during the run, have looked to Hamilton, whose been the team's leading scorer in each of the last five games. The two-time All-Star is shooting 62 percent during the that five-game stretch, including 9-of-10 from the field against the Bucks.
Washington also recorded its largest margin of victory in its last game, a 96-74 triumph over the Miami Heat on Saturday.
The teams split four games last season.
