Pistons seek 11th straight win

Jan 4, 2008 - 1:45 PM Detroit (25-7) at Toronto (17-15) 7:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) - The red-hot Detroit Pistons aim for their 11th consecutive victory when they visit the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Last time out, Richard Hamilton poured in 20 points to lead Detroit to a 106-93 triumph over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

The Pistons continue to rely on their stellar defense during this current streak, holding opponents under 90 points seven times while allowing 100 points just once.

With most of its starters logging significant playing time during the past few seasons, Detroit has been able to rest its veterans while giving the young players the chance to gain valuable experience.

"Another game where most of our starters could sit and watch most of the fourth quarter and watch our young guys develop," Pistons guard Chauncey Billups said after Wednesday's victory.

The Raptors return home after finishing a season-long seven-game tour of the Western Conference.

If Toronto hopes to have a chance in this one, forward Chris Bosh has to bring his "A" game against Rasheed Wallace, one of the better low-post defenders in the league.

Detroit has won seven of the past 11 meetings in Toronto.
