Kidd, Nets go for fourth straight win

Jan 4, 2008 - 1:58 PM Charlotte (11-19) at New Jersey (15-16) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The New Jersey Nets go for their fourth straight win on Friday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats.

New Jersey is coming off a 96-95 win at Orlando on Wednesday and has been led by point guard Jason Kidd.

Kidd is averaging 15.7 points, 11.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds over the past three games - recording a double-double in each. The 34-year-old also is averaging a career-high 8.6 rebounds so far this season and his 10.5 assists per contest ranks second in the league.

The Nets have not won four games in a row this season, but may have a good chance to do it against the Bobcats, who are just 1-10 on the road.

Charlotte, which has lost its last 10 games on the road, is coming off a 109-97 loss on Wednesday to Chicago and has lost five of six overall.

Jason Richardson is averaging 28.7 points over his last six games. Overall, Gerald Wallace leads the Bobcats in scoring, netting 20.1 points per game.

The Nets are 9-2 all-time against the Bobcats, going 2-1 against Charlotte last season.
