Bucks look for continued success at home

Jan 4, 2008 - 2:10 PM Washington (15-15) at Milwaukee (12-19) 8:30 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - The Milwaukee Bucks have enjoyed most of their success at home this season and will look to continue the trend on Friday against the Washington Wizards.

The Bucks, despite being seven games under .500, are 9-4 at home. Milwaukee comes into the game off a 103-98 victory at Miami that ended a four-game losing streak.

The win came after a team meeting prior to the game, which also ended the Bucks' nine-game road skid.

"We talked out it as a team and just decided that we just needed to go out there and make things happen," said Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut, who had 13 points and 12 rebounds against Miami. "The wins will take care of themselves if we go out there and do the right things."

The game is the first of four between the teams. Washington won the last two meetings last year to win the season series, 3-1.

Milwaukee hasn't won consecutive games since its five-game winning streak in November. Since then, the Bucks are 5-15.

The Wizards have lost five of their last seven games, including a 106-93 home defeat against Detroit on Wednesday. Washington point guard Antonio Daniels returned after missing seven games with a sprained right knee, scoring 18 points in 36 minutes.

The Wizards' Caron Butler averaged 22.8 points against the Bucks last season. Milwaukee's Michael Redd, who was held to only eight points against the Heat, averaged 27.7 points against the Wizards last year.
