Heat look to snap six-game losing streak against lowly Grizzlies

Jan 6, 2008 - 2:58 PM Miami (8-25) at Memphis (9-23) 4:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) - Two of the worst teams in the NBA will meet on Sunday with each desperate for a win.

The Miami Heat will try and snap a six-game losing streak when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.

Playing without Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, the Heat dropped a 94-89 decision to Dallas on Friday in the first of a five-game road trip. It was the first missed game since November for Wade due to a right pinkie and right shoulder injury, while O'Neal has missed the last four contests with left hip bursitis.

Miami has lost 10 of 12 overall but have beaten Memphis - which is tied for the second-worst record in the Western Conference - four straight times.

The Grizzlies have lost six of seven and 13 of its last 16 games.

Memphis is coming off a 100-96 loss at Boston on Friday, which marked the eighth straight time that the Grizzlies failed to score 100 points.

Rudy Gay has scored at least 20 points in his last two games and leads the team in scoring at 19.3 points per contest.
