Sixers aim to extend Bucks' road struggles

Jan 8, 2008 - 2:23 PM Milwaukee (13-20) at Philadelphia (14-20) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - Coming off a rough six-game road trip, the Philadelphia 76ers aim to extend the season-long road struggles of the Milwaukee Bucks when the teams meet at the Wachovia Center on Tuesday.

The Sixers went 2-4 during the road trip, ending it with a 109-96 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. They received 22 points from Andre Miller, but it was not enough as the team lost their third straight game.

Philadelphia, which is 7-9 at home, has won four of its last six against Milwaukee at home. In the Bucks, the Sixers face a team that is a woeful 4-15 away from the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee did put aside their road struggles on Sunday, however, downing the Charlotte Bobcats, 93-89.

Charlie Bell, who is shooting a miserable 30 percent (56-for-183) for the season, posted 27 points and Andrew Bogut added a season-high 25 points as the Bucks won despite the absence of leading scorer Michael Redd, who missed his second straight game because of a deep thigh bruise.

The Bucks defeated the Sixers, 114-99, on November 27 in the teams' only meeting this season. Overall, Milwaukee has won five of the last eight overall meetings against Philadelphia.
