Magic kick off four-game road trip against Kings

Jan 8, 2008 - 2:24 PM Orlando (22-13) at Sacramento (12-20) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - After back-to-back losses at home, the Orlando Magic are probably happy to be on the road again.

The Magic open a four-game Western Conference road trip against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

Orlando is an NBA-best 15-5 on the road this season with wins in four of its last five games away from home. The Magic are just 7-8 at Amway Arena, falling below .500 at home during its last two games there.

The Magic suffered a narrow one-point setback to the New Jersey Nets before dropping a second straight heartbreaker, 96-94, to the Houston Rockets on Friday.

The Kings have also lost their last two games and enter Tuesday's contest having lost six of their last seven games - including a 94-93 setback to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Sacramento, which averages an NBA-worst 16.7 turnovers per game, committed 18 against the Bulls. John Salmons booked eight turnovers on Saturday and was whistled for traveling with six seconds left to play and the score tied.

Despite his late-game blunder, Salmons has stepped up big for the injury-ridden Kings, averaging 16.8 points and 4.9 rebounds this season.
