Bosh, Parker lead Raptors past 76ers

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The efficient shooting of Chris Bosh and Anthony Parker lifted the Toronto Raptors back to their winning ways at home.

Bosh scored 21 points as the Raptors posted a 109-96 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday.

Parker scored 22 points and Jose Calderon had 17, six rebounds and nine assists for Toronto, which snapped a three-game losing streak here.

"We were able to move the ball and find guys for open shots," Calderon said. "We've lost a lot of tough games lately, so it feels good because we've been practicing hard and it paid off today."

Bosh, who had just seven points when the Raptors led, 52-50, at intermission, connected on 6-of-8 in the second half for the Raptors, who also ended a modest two-game slide.

The two-time All-Star scored 10 points in the third as Toronto outscored Philadelphia, 27-16, in the period to keep a double-digit lead the rest of the way.

"We made a concerted effort to come out and do a better job in the third quarter," Bosh said. "We had been trading baskets with them and good teams don't do that. We needed to play with more energy and get some stops and we were able to do that."

Parker also had an excellent shooting night, going 8-of-11 from the field as the team shot 55 percent (43-of-78) overall.

"We have a team that whoever has the hot hand we try to get them the ball," Parker said. "I came out and hit my first couple of shots and was in a good rhythm, so we tried to work some offense through me."

Toronto rookie Jamario Moon made his presence felt throughout the game, finishing with game-high five blocked shots to go with eight points and nine rebounds.

"Jamario did a great all around job for us," Parker said. "He does a lot of the little things that go unnoticed a lot of the time, but he's playing great for us."

Willie Green scored 18 points and Andre Iguodala and rookie reserve Thaddeus Young each scored 16 for the Sixers, who shot 44 percent (38-of-87) and have lost a season-high five straight games.

"I am upset that we are not playing up to our ability late in games," Iguodala said. "It's just tough losing. I think we have a group of guys that can win. We may not be the most talented, but I still think we can win."
