Bargnani makes home debut for Raptors
Nov 3, 2006 - 2:30 PM Milwaukee (1-0) at Toronto (0-1) 7:00 pm ESTTORONTO (Ticker) - Rookie Andrea Bargnani makes his regular-season debut at the Air Canada Centre when the Toronto Raptors welcome the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.
The No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, Bargnani became the first European player ever to be selected first.
The 6-10 forward only played eight minutes in Toronto's 102-92 season-opening loss to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday. He finished with just two points on 1-of-3 shooting.
Anthony Parker scored 22 points for Toronto, while point guard T.J. Ford, whom the Raptors acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks for forward Charlie Villanueva, had 19.
Villanueva produced 16 points in his Bucks debut as they posted a 105-97 triumph over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
Sharpshooter Michael Redd scored 37 points and Andrew Bogut finished with 16 for Milwaukee, which committed only eight turnovers while forcing 22.
