Bulls aim to rebound vs. struggling Sixers

Jan 11, 2008 - 1:26 PM Chicago (13-20) at Philadelphia (14-22) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Chicago Bulls aim to rebound from an embarrassing loss when they face the reeling Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.

Chicago is mired in last place in the Central Division and is coming off a 105-100 loss the bumbling New York Knicks on Tuesday.

The Bulls played that game without Luol Deng, their second-leading scorer who is suffering from left Achilles' tendinitis. Deng, who is averaging 17.9 points, has missed the previous two games but could return on Friday.

Chicago had won four of six under interim coach Jim Boylan before Tuesday's poor showing.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia would not mind if Deng misses a third straight game. Andre Iguodala scored 16 points but committed five turnovers as the Sixers lost their fifth straight, 109-96, to Toronto on Wednesday.

The fourth-year swingman will look for more success against Chicago. He filled up the stat sheet in the previous meeting to the tune of 22 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in a 96-95 win on November 2.
