Suns hope to have Nash, Marion vs. Bucks

Jan 12, 2008 - 3:49 PM Milwaukee (15-21) at Phoenix (25-11) 9:00 pm EST

PHOENIX (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns hope to have their point guard back and healthy when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

On the same day that Grant Hill was taken to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy, Steve Nash was also hospitalized with a bad stomach flu. The two-time MVP stayed behind in Phoenix while his teammates suffered a 108-86 loss at Utah.

Hill will be out two-to-three weeks following his surgery.

Shawn Marion was added to the Suns' list of wounded in Utah as well, as the all-star forward was unable to participate in the game due to right elbow and shoulder injuries. It is unsure if either Marion or Nash will be able to play on Saturday.

With three starters sidelined, sixth man Leandro Barbosa led the team with 25 points while Amare Stoudemire pulled down 14 rebounds against the Jazz.

The Bucks had a three-game winning streak snapped on Friday in a 110-105 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Mo Williams and Michael Redd combined for 50 points in the setback.

Milwaukee is 5-9 against Western Conference opponents and have not won here since February 21, 1987.
