Bobcats take on Nuggets, hope to avoid recent OT woes

Jan 14, 2008 - 2:39 PM Denver (22-13) at Charlotte (13-23) 7:00 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- It would be best for the Charlotte Bobcats to avoid overtime for a third consecutive game.

The Bobcats head into Monday's game with the Denver Nuggets after losing their last two games in extra time.

One night after losing in double-overtime to Cleveland, Charlotte was without Raymond Felton (ankle), Jeff McInnis (thigh) and emergency point guard Derek Anderson (knee) in a 103-100 home loss to Detroit on Saturday.

Felton and McInnis are expected to play on Monday.

"I'm going to go no matter what," Felton said.

Charlotte's struggles are a direct result of its inability to win on the road. The Bobcats are 2-12 on the road, but are .500 at home at 11-11.

Denver is coming off a 113-103 victory over Orlando at home on Friday, the Nuggets' seventh win in their last nine games.

Before the game, Nene took an indefinite leave of absence from the Nuggets to take care of a personal medical issue. Nene missed 22 games earlier this season after surgery on his left thumb.

The game is the first of two between the teams this season. Each team won on the road last year.
