Pistons aim to continue home success against Raptors

Jan 15, 2008 - 2:15 PM Toronto (20-17) at Detroit (28-10) 7:30 pm EST

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons hope to bounce back from a disappointing performance when they host the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.

The Pistons endured their worst loss of the season Sunday, an 89-65 thrashing at the hands of the woeful New York Knicks.

"They beat us bad. We didn't really do anything," Pistons coach Flip Saunders said. "We gave an unacceptable effort and now we've got to bounce back."

The Pistons, who own a 13-3 home record this season, should be happy to be hosting the Raptors. Detroit has won its last eight home meetings against Toronto dating to April 2, 2003.

Toronto enters looking to push its winning streak to four games after posting a 116-109 double-overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors with 38 points.

In the first meeting between the teams on December 4, the Pistons coasted to a 101-85 road win over the Raptors.
