Knicks go for season-high fourth straight win
Jan 18, 2008 - 3:12 PM New York (12-26) at Washington (20-17) 7:00 pm ESTWASHINGTON (Ticker) - On its first three-game winning streak of the season, the New York Knicks look to continue their winning ways when they visit the Washington Wizards on Friday.
New York has not won four straight games since a six-game stretch from January 2-13, 2006.
The Knicks are coming off a 111-105 victory over New Jersey on Wednesday and beat the Wizards, 105-93, in the first meeting between the teams on Tuesday.
Jamal Crawford scored a season-high 35 points in Wednesday's victory and had 29 in the game against Washington. The Knicks shooting guard leads the team in scoring at 19.8 points per contest.
Washington's recent loss to New York snapped a three-game winning streak but the Wizards still have the fourth best record in the Eastern Conference.
Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison lead the team in scoring at 21.7 and 21.2 points per game, respectively, and the duo combined for 45 points in Tuesday's setback.
