Surging Hornets continue homestand against Bucks
Jan 21, 2008 - 2:33 PM Milwaukee (16-24) at New Orleans (27-12) 3:30 pm ESTNEW ORLEANS (Ticker) - The surging New Orleans Hornets go for their fifth straight win when they continue their homestand against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
The Hornets, who have the first two games of their five-game stretch at home, are on their fourth four-game winning streak of the season.
The surge has propelled New Orleans into a tie for first with Dallas (27-12) in the Southwest Division and 1 1/2 games ahead of San Antonio (25-13).
Point guard Chris Paul has recorded four straight double-doubles, and had 14 points and 13 assists in New Orleans' 112-84 thrashing of the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday.
Milwaukee has lost four of its past five games, including a 119-99 setback against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
Bucks center Andrew Bogut has posted five straight double-doubles, averaging 21.6 points and 10.4 rebounds.
New Orleans has beaten Milwaukee three straight times. This is the first meeting between the teams this season.
