Cavaliers aim to stay hot vs. Suns
Jan 25, 2008 - 2:59 PM Phoenix (30-13) at Cleveland (23-18) 7:00 pm ESTCLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to extend their season-high five-game winning streak Friday when they host the Phoenix Suns.
The Cavaliers have been red-hot lately, winning nine of their last 10 games, including a 121-85 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
LeBron James scored 23 points against the Wizards and Drew Gooden added 18 and 10 rebounds for his 15th double-double of the season.
The Suns had a four-game winning streak snapped during their last game Wednesday, a dismal 117-107 setback against the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves.
Although Phoenix shot 56 percent from the field against the Timberwolves, it made just 10-of-27 3-pointers and committed 16 turnovers while surrendering over 100 points for the second time in as many games.
