Blazers try to get back on track vs. streaking Rockets

Jan 25, 2008 - 3:19 PM Houston (23-19) at Portland (25-17) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - After losing just two games in December, the Portland Trail Blazers have doubled that total in their last seven games.

The Trail Blazers look to get back on track when they host the Houston Rockets on Friday.

Portland won 13 consecutive games during December, losing just their first and last games of the month. But after winning four straight to start the new year, the Blazers have alternated losses and wins over their last seven contests.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but his performance wasn't enough to lift Portland to victory, as it suffered a 96-81 setback to the New Orleans Hornets during its last game on Wednesday.

The Rockets enter the game on a three-game winning streak after picking up their second straight win against the Seattle SuperSonics, 109-107, on Wednesday.

Tracy McGrady scored 28 points off the bench for Houston, which overcame a 13-point deficit with just over eight minutes left in the fourth quarter by closing the game on a 25-10 run to capture the win.
