Wizards look to bounce back against lowly Grizzlies
Jan 25, 2008 - 3:26 PM Memphis (12-30) at Washington (22-18) 7:00 pm ESTWASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Fresh off their worst loss of the season, the Washington Wizards look to bounce back against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
The Wizards dropped a 121-85 decision to Cleveland on Wednesday, their worst loss since a 111-67 setback to New Jersey in 2002.
Despite the defeat, Washington still has won seven of its last 10, including three straight at home.
The Wizards' defense will have to improve against Memphis, which averages over 101 points per game and beat Washington, 124-118, on November 24.
The Grizzlies are coming off an embarrassing loss on Wednesday as well, losing 112-85 to Orlando - matching their worst defeat of the season.
Pau Gasol had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for his sixth double-double in his last seven games.
Memphis has won four of the past five meetings between the two teams and will be going for its second series sweep of Washington in the last three years.
