Kings go for first conference road win against Jazz

Jan 25, 2008 - 3:27 PM Sacramento (18-23) at Utah (24-18) 9:00 pm EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) - The Sacramento Kings haven't found a win on the road against Western Conference opponents yet this season.

The Kings aim to pick up their first victory against a Western Conference foe away from ARCO Arena on Friday when they visit the Utah Jazz.

Sacramento, which is just 6-13 away from home this season, is 0-9 against conference opponents on the road, suffering its most recent defeat, 111-85, against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Kings, who have been playing well recently since Mike Bibby, Ron Artest and Kevin Martin all returned to the lineup after missing significant time due to injuries.

The Jazz have also been playing well of late and enter Friday's contest on a two-game winning streak with six wins in their last seven games.

Deron Williams scored 18 points and added 13 assists to lead seven players in double-figures as Utah continued its hot play, downing the Clippers, 109-93, on Monday.
