Nuggets hope to have Anthony in lineup, visit Mavericks

Jan 27, 2008 - 2:22 PM Denver (26-16) at Dallas (29-13) 6:30 pm EST

DALLAS (Ticker) - With or without Carmelo Anthony, the Denver Nuggets hope to continue their momentum when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

Denver has been without its All-Star forward for the past two games due to a sprained right ankle, but still posted victories over Atlanta and New Jersey, respectively. Allen Iverson combined for 59 points in the two wins.

Anthony is officially listed as day-to-day, but the Nuggets may need to be at full strength to beat Dallas, which is a league-best 19-3 at home.

The Mavericks have won six straight on their home floor and are coming off a 112-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

Dirk Nowitzki had 26 points and 10 rebounds and has scored at least 20 points in 12 straight games.

Denver did win the first meeting at Dallas on December 6, 122-109, behind 35 points and 12 assists from Iverson.
