Final
Spurs hope to get back on track
Jan 28, 2008 - 2:16 PM San Antonio (28-14) at Utah (26-18) 9:00 pm ESTSALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Coming off an embarrassing loss, the San Antonio Spurs visit the Utah Jazz on Monday.
On Saturday, the defending champion Spurs were manhandled on their homecourt by the surprising New Orleans Hornets as they endured a 102-78 beating. It was the worst home loss in Tim Duncan's 11-year career.
The Spurs will look to rebound against the Jazz, who they eliminated in five games in the Western Conference finals last spring. San Antonio also won the first meeting between the teams this season, 104-98, on December 7.
Utah is playing well entering the contest, having won its last four games.
The Jazz used a 37-point fourth quarter on Sunday en route to a 97-89 road victory over the Houston Rockets. Utah moved within one-half game of the first place Denver Nuggets in the Northwest Division.
