Unhappy Kidd set to lead Nets vs. Bucks

Jan 29, 2008 - 2:46 PM Milwaukee (18-27) at New Jersey (18-26) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - After nine consecutive losses, apparently Jason Kidd has had enough.

A day after he and his agent confirmed that he wants out of New Jersey, Kidd and the Nets will host the Milwaukee Bucks.

According to the report, Kidd confirmed that his agent, Jeff Schwartz, has talked to Nets' management about moving him by the February 21 trade deadline, a conversation that both parties first engaged in at last season's All-Star break.

"It used to be if I got a triple-double, that was an automatic win," Kidd said to ESPN. "That's just not the case now. We tried to make this work. We've found out it doesn't. It's time for us all to move on."

Kidd, who is averaging a career-low 36.9 percent shooting and 11.3 points, had 11 points on Sunday as the New Jersey blew a seven-point lead with just over one minute remaining to drop a 98-95 decision to the Minnesota Timberwolves - the worst team in the NBA.

The Bucks are not the greatest team in the Eastern Conference, either, as they have so far failed to live up to their preseason hopes of contending in the conference. Milwaukee has lost seven of its last 10 games.

The Nets won the first meeting between the teams, 97-95, on December 29 despite 35 points from Bucks' sharpshooter Michael Redd. New Jersey has not lost 10 in a row since an 11-game slide in the 1999-2000 season.
