NBA Note - Miami Heat Richardson, Josh
Sep 14, 2017 - 9:10 AM G Josh Richardson and the Heat agreed on a four-year, $42 million contract extension, ESPN reported Wednesday.The deal includes a player option on the fourth year. Before agreeing to the extension, Richardson had been scheduled to become a restricted free agent after this season.
Richardson, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, had an ankle injury that limited him to 53 games last season, but he started 34 of those games and averaged 10.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists. As a rookie in 2015-16, he averaged 6.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 52 games, including two starts.
