Final
High-scoring Warriors host Richardson, Bobcats
Feb 1, 2008 - 2:35 PM Charlotte (18-28) at Golden State (28-19) 10:30 pm ESTOAKLAND, California (Ticker) - The surging Golden State Warriors welcome back a familiar face Friday when Jason Richardson and the Charlotte Bobcats visit Oracle Arena.
Richardson, who spent the first six seasons of his career with Golden State, was traded on June 29 in a deal for Brandan Wright, who was selected eighth overall by Charlotte.
In his first season in Charlotte, Richardson is averaging 20.3 points. Those numbers are up slightly from his days in Golden State, where he averaged just over 18 points.
While Wright has not been much of a factor in his rookie season, the Warriors have had no problem scoring. Golden State is ranked second in the league at 109.2 points per game and has topped the 100-point mark in 11 straight games, going 8-3 in those contests.
The Warriors are coming off a 116-103 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday. Stephen Jackson scored 26 points and Baron Davis added 23 to pace Golden State.
It will be the third game of a five-game road trip for Charlotte, which has split the first two contests. The Bobcats are coming off Wednesday's 105-91 loss to Sacramento.
The Bobcats have lost three straight contests at Golden State, including a 131-105 defeat last season.
