Nuggets happy to be home against Bobcats

Feb 2, 2008 - 3:24 PM Charlotte (18-29) at Denver (27-18) 9:00 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) - The Denver Nuggets are happy to be back at home.

After a three-game road trip, the Nuggets return to the Pepsi Center to host the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday.

All-Star Allen Iverson scored 32 points and added 12 assists as Denver snapped a six-game road losing streak during its last game on Friday, closing out its recent road trip with a 106-102 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Iverson, one of five players in double-figures for the Nuggets against the Grizzlies, helped pick up the offense as Denver was once again without All-Star Carmelo Anthony, who missed his fifth game after injuring his left ankle against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 21.

The Bobcats fell to 4-15 on the road this season during their last game on Friday, suffering an embarrassing 127-96 setback to the Golden State Warriors.

The lone bright spot for the Bobcats against the Warriors was Emeka Okafor, who led the team with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Okafor is averaging 13.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game this season.
