Grizzlies sign C Rabb
Sep 21, 2017 - 6:47 PM The Memphis Grizzlies signed second-round draft pick Ivan Rabb to a contract, the team announced on Thursday.Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Grizzlies, who acquired the 6-foot-10 forward in a 2017 draft-day trade with the Orlando Magic.
Rabb initially was selected with the 35th overall pick by the Magic after averaging 14.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31 games last season as a sophomore at the University of California.
The 20-year-old was named to the All-Pac-12 first team after leading the conference in rebounding both overall and in conference play (11.4 rebounds). He also was one of 10 finalists for the Karl Malone Award, given by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to the nation's top collegiate power forward.
