Report: Suns' Warren lands 4-year, $50M extension
Sep 26, 2017 - 2:01 AM Phoenix Suns forward TJ Warren agreed to a four-year, $50 million contract extension, ESPN reported Monday.Warren, 24, has missed parts of his three NBA seasons because of injuries, including foot surgery that ended his 2015-16 season.
The Suns have been building a group of talented young players that they hope will pay dividends over time.
Warren, a first-round pick in the 2014 draft, averaged 14.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 66 games, including 59 starts, for Phoenix last season.
The Suns did not agree on a rookie contract extension with center Alex Len, who was the fifth pick in the 2013 draft. He signed a qualifying offer for one year and $4.2 million for the 2017-18 season, according to The Vertical. He will become an unrestricted free agent in July.
