Pacers hope to snap six-game losing streak

Feb 5, 2008 - 3:16 PM San Antonio (29-16) at Indiana (19-29) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers hope to finally get into the win column when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

The Pacers, who are on their second six-game losing streak of the season, dropped a 121-115 decision to Orlando on Saturday. Indiana lost 11 straight games during last season.

Danny Granger had 29 points in Saturday's loss for Indiana, which has been without Jermaine O'Neal for the past eight games due to a bone bruise in his left knee.

The Spurs, who are playing the fourth game of a nine-game road trip, snapped a three-game losing streak with an 84-81 victory at Phoenix on Thursday.

Manu Ginobili had 19 points and Tim Duncan had 16 point, 17 rebounds and seven assists in Thursday's win.

San Antonio has been hurt by injuries recently as well, as Tony Parker is out with bone spurs in his left heel. The point guard could miss the entire road trip.

This is the first meeting between the two teams, after splitting the season series last season.
