Kings host Sonics seeking fifth straight win

Feb 6, 2008 - 3:07 PM Seattle (12-36) at Sacramento (22-24) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - The Sacramento Kings go for their fifth straight win on Wednesday when they host the lowly Seattle SuperSonics.

The Kings have been on fire recently, winning four straight games and seven of their last nine, including a 105-101 victory over the Chicago Bulls during their last game on Saturday.

Brad Miller scored 22 points and grabbed 20 rebounds against the Bulls, recording his fourth consecutive double-double. Miller, who was named Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday, is averaging 14.6 points and 9.7 rebounds with 20 double-doubles this campaign.

Miller is optimistic about playing on Wednesday after he needed nine stitches to repair a cut on his finger he suffered while washing dishes during a Super Bowl Party on Sunday.

The SuperSonics had their first three-game win streak of the season snapped on Monday, suffering a 118-108 setback to the Bulls.

Wally Szczerbiak led the Sonics with 21 points on Monday while rookie Kevin Durant scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

Durant leads all rookies in scoring, averaging 19.6 points per game, but is making just over 40 percent of his shots from the field this season.
