Mavericks happy to be home after tough trip

Feb 6, 2008 - 3:13 PM Milwaukee (19-30) at Dallas (32-15) 8:30 pm EST

DALLAS (Ticker) - After a trip that led them through all three division leaders in the Eastern Conference, the Dallas Mavericks return home on Wednesday to face the Milwaukee Bucks.

Dallas was one of the hottest teams in the league - winning 12 of 14 games - before getting slowed by the twin powers of the East, Boston and Detroit. The Mavericks dropped a 96-90 decision to the Celtics last Thursday and fell, 90-67, to the Pistons on Sunday.

It was not all bad on the road, however, as Dallas recovered to post a 107-98 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday. Josh Howard scored 28 points in the win, and Dirk Nowitzki filled up the box score with 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The Mavericks own the second-best home record in the Western Conference at 20-3, while going 12-12 on the road.

The Bucks snapped a three-game slide with a 102-97 win at Memphis on Tuesday. Mo Williams scored 32 points and dished out seven assists to lead the way.

The victory lifted Milwaukee's road record to 6-22 and snapped a seven-game slide away from home.

Michael Redd scored 28 points and Andrew Bogut pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Bucks to a 97-95 victory against Dallas on November 24.
