Nowitzki, Mavericks look to continue dominance of Grizzlies
Feb 8, 2008 - 1:33 PM Memphis (13-35) at Dallas (33-15) 8:30 pm ESTDALLAS (Ticker) - Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks look to continue rolling at home against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
The Mavericks have dominated the series between the two teams, winning the last 13 meetings - including a first-round sweep in the 2006 playoffs. Dallas has won both contests this season.
Memphis, which has not defeated the Mavericks since November 26, 2005, is just 4-17 on the road this season. The Grizzlies are on a four-game losing streak and have lost six straight on the road.
Dallas is tied with Utah for the league's best home record at 21-3 and is coming off a 107-96 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday.
Nowitzki had his first career triple-double in the win with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Jason Terry added 23 points off the bench as Dallas won its eighth straight home game.
Memphis was defeated by Milwaukee, 102-97, on Tuesday despite a season-high 32 points from Mike Miller. Darko Milicic had 11 points and 12 rebounds in the loss for his third straight double-double.
