Iguodala, Sixers aim for third straight win
Feb 9, 2008 - 11:43 AM La Clippers (16-31) at Philadelphia (20-30) 7:30 pm ESTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers go for a third straight win when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.
Philadelphia, which is in the midst of a season-high five-game homestand, posted a 101-84 victory over the hapless Miami Heat on Thursday.
Iguodala, who scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, has the Sixers on the verge of their first three-game winning streak since December 22-28.
Philadelphia beat up on Miami, which has lost 21 of 22. However, the Clippers should put up more of a fight.
Like Miami, Los Angeles is mired in last place in its division but is coming off a 102-98 win over Toronto on Friday. Corey Maggette scored a season-high 35 points and rookie Al Thornton scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half.
The Clippers shot an astounding 10-of-14 from the arc and look to continue their success against the Sixers, whom they have beaten three straight times.
Los Angeles will get point guard Sam Cassell back after a one-game suspension for a flagrant foul he committed against Boston's Rajon Rondo on Wednesday.
