Warriors look to rebound vs. Kings

Feb 9, 2008 - 11:44 AM Sacramento (23-25) at Golden State (29-20) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) - The Golden State Warriors look to bounce back against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Monta Ellis poured in 25 points to lead four others in double figures but Golden State came up short to the Chicago Bulls, 114-108.

The loss featured the debut of newly signed forward Chris Webber, who collected four points and two assists in 12 minutes in his first game with the Warriors since he was drafted No. 1 overall in 1993.

"It felt good to be out there and the first sweat, the first foul and all that good stuff," the 35-year-old Webber said. "It felt good, not the results. I just want to hurry up and get back out on the floor."

In their first meeting, Ellis led the charge with 22 points for Golden State in a 103-96 victory over Sacramento on November 28 at Arco Arena.

The Kings continued their surge up the standing in the Western Conference with Friday's convincing 117-104 victory over the red-hot Utah Jazz.

Kevin Martin netted 27 points and Ron Artest added 22 and eight rebounds for Sacramento, which has captured five of its last six games.

The Warriors captured three of four against the Kings last season, including both meetings here.
