Redd, Bucks host slumping Clippers

Feb 11, 2008 - 3:58 PM LA Clippers (16-32) at Milwaukee (19-32) 8:00 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks aim to bounce back from a tough loss on Monday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Bucks have lost five of their last six games, but none hurt more than Saturday's 99-98 loss to the struggling New York Knicks.

Milwaukee broke open a close game with a 21-4 run but then coughed up a 17-point lead as the Knicks rallied to snap an eight-game losing streak.

About the only good thing that came out of the loss was that leading scorer Michael Redd finished the game healthy. Redd, who has been hampered by injuries the last two seasons, scored 21 points in his return from a left knee strain.

Redd, who is averaging 23.0 points, had missed the previous six games with the injury.

Los Angeles, which has lost seven of 10, is coming off a 101-80 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.

Corey Maggette scored 26 points in the loss and has been hot lately. Maggette is averaging 29.0 points in three games since returning from the flu. On Friday he scored a season-high 35 points in a 102-98 win over Toronto.

Redd scored 25 points to lead the Bucks to a 87-78 win in Los Angeles on December 4 in the first meeting between these teams this season.
