Spurs seeking revenge against Cavaliers

Feb 13, 2008 - 1:08 PM San Antonio (33-17) at Cleveland (29-22) 7:00 pm EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) - After finishing runner-up in last season's NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers got some retribution against the San Antonio Spurs earlier this season.

Now it will be the Spurs who are looking to exact a measure of revenge when they visit the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

San Antonio swept Cleveland in the 2007 NBA Finals to claim their fourth championship in nine seasons.

However, when the teams met earlier this season, LeBron James had 27 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to lead the Cavs to a 90-88 victory over the Spurs on January 17.

James scored 29 points and added 10 assists and seven rebounds on Monday to lead Cleveland to a 118-111 victory over the Orlando Magic, its fourth win in its last six games.

The Spurs have been even hotter recently, picking up their fifth win in six contests with a 93-88 triumph over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Manu Ginobili led the way, scoring 34 points while grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds.
