James, Cavaliers look to go 3-0 against Pacers
Feb 20, 2008 - 11:56 AM Cleveland (29-24) at Indiana (21-32) 7:00 pm ESTINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, hoping the start of the season's second half is better than the end of the first.
The Pacers dropped their last two games to Eastern Conference powers Boston and Detroit before the layoff. Indiana has lost nine of its last 11 games to finish with its worst record at the break since 1991-92.
The Pacers' Jermaine O'Neal has missed 13 consecutive games with a knee injury. A similar injury has sidelined point guard Jamaal Tinsley for the last four.
Cleveland opened the second half of the season Tuesday with a 93-85 home loss to Houston despite the 15th career triple-double by LeBron James, who finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.
James won his second All-Star MVP award in three years on Sunday in New Orleans.
The Cavaliers have won the first two of the four-game season series. James is averaging 23.5 points against Indiana this season.
