Raptors open second half against Magic

Feb 20, 2008 - 11:56 AM Orlando (34-21) at Toronto (28-23) 7:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors begin the second half of the season Wednesday against the road-tested Orlando Magic.

The Magic hit 13-of-20 3-pointers in ending the Detroit Pistons' 10-game winning streak, 103-85, on Tuesday.

The victory gave Orlando a league-high 20 wins away from home.

The Raptors alternated losses and wins in their last eight games before the All-Star break.

Toronto won the Atlantic Division a year ago, but began the second part of the season trailing the first-place Boston Celtics by 13 1/2 games.

Orlando is in command of the race in the Southeast Division race.

The teams will play three times this season. Orlando won the first meeting, 105-96, in Toronto on November 7 behind 24 points and a career-high 15 rebounds from Hedo Turkoglu.

The Raptors' Chris Bosh scored 26 points, going 6-for-15 from the floor and 14-for-14 from the free-throw line. Bosh also had 10 rebounds.
