NBA Note - Brooklyn Nets Russell, D'Angelo
Nov 16, 2017 - 5:17 PM Brooklyn Nets G D'Angelo Russell was diagnosed with a left knee contusion, the team announced Sunday. Russell was examined Sunday by team doctors and underwent an MRI and the Nets said "return to play updates will be provided as appropriate." Russell scored 26 points in Saturday's 114-106 loss at Utah but injured his left knee with 2:57 remaining after making contact with a defender. Russell landed awkwardly and hobbled to the bench before going to the locker room. Before the Nets announced the injury, ESPN reported Russell will miss "several games." The Nets are scheduled to return home Tuesday against the Boston Celtics and host the Golden State Warriors next Sunday.No one has shouted yet.
