Magic hope home success continues vs. revamped Kings

Feb 24, 2008 - 5:59 PM Sacramento (26-28) at Orlando (35-22) 6:00 pm EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic have been road warriors all season. Now they are starting to get rolling at home.

Dwight Howard and the Magic aim for a third straight home win when they host the new-look Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

Orlando, which has the second-best road mark in the league at 20-11, has had a tougher go of it at home. The Magic are just 15-11 here but are looking to build on one of their most impressive home wins of the season.

Howard scored 24 points and grabbed 18 rebounds and Orlando hit 15 3-pointers en route to a 115-99 win over Philadelphia on Friday. It was Magic's highest-scoring output since a 119-point effort in a loss to Memphis on December 15.

Orlando, which is firmly in control in the Southeast Division, faces a Kings team that oddly enough, has not lost since trading point guard Mike Bibby to Atlanta on February 15.

Francisco Garcia scored 23 points off the bench and Ron Artest added 20 as Sacramento posted its third straight win, 116-115, over the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday.

Artest, who was the subject of trade rumors, did not play in the first meeting on January 8 due to an elbow injury. The Kings won that game, 104-100, behind 21 points from guard John Salmons.
