Jazz look to carry success at home to the road

Feb 26, 2008 - 3:05 PM Utah (36-20) at Minnesota (11-43) 8:00 pm EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Utah Jazz have had no problems winning at home this season, but that success has not translated to the road.

Utah hopes to change that when they visit the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

The Jazz own a 14-game home winning streak and are tied with Dallas for the league's best home record at 24-3. But Utah is just 12-17 away from the EnergySolutions Arena, including a 114-104 setback to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.

Utah bounced back from that defeat with a 100-94 victory over Atlanta on Saturday as Carlos Boozer posted his sixth straight double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

The young Timberwolves own the Western Conference's worst record and have lost seven out of their last eight. Minnesota is coming off a 99-83 defeat to Dallas on Sunday.

The Timberwolves' 23-year-old center Al Jefferson had 22 points and eight rebounds in the loss, and leads the team in scoring and rebounding at 21.3 points and 11.9 boards per game.

It is the first of four meetings between the two teams this season. Utah went 3-1 against the Timberwolves last season.
