Kings look to rebound against falling Hawks

Feb 27, 2008 - 1:43 PM Sacramento (26-30) at Atlanta (22-32) 7:00 pm EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) - The Sacramento Kings stagger into Wednesday's game with the Atlanta Hawks coming off their worst effort of the season.

The Kings shot an ice-cold 10 percent (2-of-20) in the third quarter of Tuesday's 107-86 road loss to the Miami Heat.

The victory ended the Heat's 11-game losing streak and was only the second win for Miami in its last 28 games. Sacramento's starters scored only 48 points in the contest.

The Kings have dropped two straight after winning the opener of their current five-game road trip. Sacramento is 9-20 on the road.

The Hawks were 14-12 through 26 games, but are 8-20 since. Atlanta has lost eight of its last nine games, including Monday's 89-74 loss at San Antonio.

Wednesday's game will close out the season series between the teams. Sacramento won the previous meeting at home, 119-103, on February 20 in Mike Bibby's first game since being traded to the Hawks during the All-Star break.

Atlanta is 1-4 since acquiring Bibby February 16 for Lorenzen Wright, Anthony Johnson, Tyronn Lue, Shelden Williams and a second-round pick in this year's draft.
