Pistons aim to end four-game skid at Jazz
Feb 27, 2008 - 5:17 PM Detroit (42-15) at Utah (36-21) 9:00 pm ESTSALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) - The Detroit Pistons are enjoying their West Coast swing so far. But things could change when they visit the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
Detroit hasn't fared well on the road in this series, dropping its last four trips here to put its all-time road mark to 10-27 since 1974-75.
To make matters worse, the Jazz haven't suffered a defeat at home since their 104-98 loss to the Boston Celtics on December 29 - a span of 14 straight games.
In their first matchup on November 25, Carlos Boozer collected 36 points and 11 rebounds in Utah's 103-93 victory over Detroit, which was without All-Star Rasheed Wallace due to a sore knee.
Richard Hamilton led three others with 20 points as the Pistons improved to 2-0 on their four-game tour of the West Coast with Monday's 98-93 win against the Denver Nuggets.
The Jazz, on the other hand, hopes to bounce back after Tuesday's dismal 111-100 setback to the Minnesota Timberwolves despite 34 points by Boozer.
"You get up for some games more than others, but you still got to bring it," Utah guard Deron Williams said. "You got to bring energy and bring intensity. It's about not being selfish and helping each other out, and I don't think we did that as a team."
