Wade, Heat hope to end 15-game road slide

Feb 29, 2008 - 4:34 PM Miami (10-45) at Seattle (15-42) 10:30 pm EST

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- All-Star Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat aim to earn their first road win in nearly three months Friday.

Wade and the Heat seek their first win away from home in 15 games when they visit the Seattle SuperSonics.

Miami hasn't captured a road triumph since coming away with a four-point win against the Phoenix Suns on December 10 behind 31 points and three steals from Wade.

In their last road outing, the Heat suffered a 106-88 setback to the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers in Thursday's opener of a three-game West Coast trip.

Seattle is coming off its worst loss of the season and third consecutive setback with Wednesday's 138-96 decision against the Denver Nuggets.

The Heat will try to avoid their first season-series sweep by the Sonics since the 2004-05 campaign.

Chris Wilcox had 20 points and 10 rebounds to carry the load in Seattle's first victory this season with a 104-95 win over Miami on November 14.
